Hot set bimetallic thermometer

1、 Instrument Overview:

A hot set bimetallic thermometer is a field detection instrument suitable for measuring medium and low temperatures, which can be used to directly measure the temperature of gases, liquids, and vapors. This thermometer has the characteristics of waterproof, corrosion-resistant, explosion-proof, vibration resistant, intuitive, easy to read, harmless, sturdy and durable in terms of design principles and structure. Can replace other measuring instruments.

2、 Measurement principle:

It works by utilizing the principle that two different metals expand differently when the temperature changes. The main component of industrial bimetallic thermometers is a multi-layer metal sheet composed of two or more metal sheets stacked together. To improve the temperature sensitivity of bimetallic thermometers, the metal sheet is usually made into a spiral coil shape. When the temperature of multi-layer metal sheets changes, the expansion or contraction of each layer of metal is uneven, causing the spiral coil to roll up or loosen. Due to one end of the spiral coil being fixed and the other end being connected to a freely rotatable pointer, when the bimetallic strip senses a temperature change, the pointer can indicate the temperature on a circular scale.

3、 Applicable occasions:

Can be used with various installation sleeves to meet different pressure level requirements. It can directly measure the temperature of liquid, steam, gas media and solid surfaces within the range of -80-+500 ℃ in various production processes.

6、 Precautions

1. Cannot directly twist the header;

2. Choose a length that is close to the standard size (an integer multiple of 50mm);

3. The length of the protective tube immersed in the measured medium must be greater than the length of the temperature sensing element. Generally, the immersion length is recommended to be greater than 100mm, and the immersion length for the 0-50 ℃ range is recommended to be greater than 150mm to ensure measurement accuracy.

4. Bimetallic thermometers are not suitable for measuring the temperature of media in open containers.

5. During storage, installation, and transportation, collision with the protective tube should be avoided. Do not bend or deform the protective tube, and do not use the watch as a wrench.

6. Regular inspections should be conducted under normal use. It is generally recommended to do so every six months.
